Merry Christmas!

Have you eaten the remaining Thanksgiving leftovers? How about shopping the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales? Or, how about charity work, or visiting family?

There are a mulitude of traditions people do each year. One of them is making plans to spend time with family and friends. It can be a stressful, but fun, time of year.

For small businesses, the end of year is also a time of rituals. This is the time of year where many companies set goals for the coming year. It’s a time to let your clients and employees know how much you appreciate them. Businesses are prepping for year’s end by upgrading business equipment and finishing paperwork for required filings.

All those things are worthy goals, but one of the most prevalent goals of many businesses is making sure their computer systems and their customer’s data is secure and protected.

The good news is there have been a lot of new developments in the computer industry to help ensure your computer systems are safe and secure.

1.  Ransomware has evolved. Malicious attacks on your computer systems are on the rise. But the software to protect against those attacks has also evolved. So going into 2020, you may want to schedule a consultation to make sure your systems are secured with the latest protection.

2.  More enforcement of compliance regulations. The purpose of compliance regulations is to protect consumer or client personal data. Your customers and clients want to know their data is safe and secure with your organization. There are new and improved tools that can scan your network to ensure you are in compliance and show you what to do to respond to any issues found.

3.  Dashboard has improved dramatically. This is a tool I use to remotely monitor your company’s computer status, network status, compliance status, and more. This will give you peace of mind knowing your computer systems (and your customer’s data) are safe and protected.

In the long run, the more things that are planned out and prepared for…the better the outcome and the fewer unpleasant surprises. With the proper planning and preparation, your 2020 will be your best year ever.
